Christmas Lights

One of the biggest draws to the Opryland Hotel at Christmas time is their elaborate light display.

These Christmas lights and decorations are located both indoors and outdoors. Kids and adults love strolling through the grounds of the resort to view all the extravagant Christmas Lights.

Gaylord Opryland ICE!

ICE! is an annual event at Opryland during the Christmas season. Each year, a theme is introduced for this outdoor kid friendly activity.

Your kids will love exploring through the ICE! exhibit looking at all of the elaborate creations made from actual ice.

We suggest wearing warm clothes and a coat for this activity as guests will feel like they have entered the North Pole!

And don’t forget to check out the ice slide before you leave!

Snow Tubing

One of the outdoor activities that kids love to participate in at Opryland is the Tubing experience. Just outside one of the entrances to the hotel, you can climb to the top of a “snowy” hill with a provided tube.

Kids enjoy sledding down the slopes on their tube in this ice tubing activity for adventurous ones.

Carriage Rides

Rather than strolling through the outdoor grounds of the Opryland Resort, you and your family can take a carriage ride through the area.

Near the ice skating rink at Opryland, you will find lots of small rides perfect for toddlers and little kids.

During our most recent Christmas visit to Opryland, we enjoyed the spinning teacups and the holiday themed train ride.

Breakfast with Characters

Each holiday season, Opryland adopts a theme for its Christmas activities and events. Some of these include Smurfs, The Grinch, and Charlie Brown and Friends.

If you visit during the Christmas season, you can make reservations to enjoy breakfast with the related characters for the theme.
