The Dollywood DreamMore Resort is located just 35 miles east of Knoxville, TN in Pigeon Forge. This region of the state draws in lots of tourists annually as the Great Smoky Mountains National Park provides amazing scenery. The town of Gatlinburg along with other family friendly destinations are all within a short drive.

These kid friendly tourist stops offer lots of fun things to do on your family vacation. Additionally, the Dollywood Theme Park is one of the most fun places for kids to visit in the Smoky Mountains! The main Dollywood park and the Splash Country Water Park are both located just a short (five minutes) drive away from the DreamMore hotel.

Prices

You can easily create a reservation for Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort directly on their website where you can often find special packages and deals for families planning a visit. For example, you can typically purchase multi-day Dollywood Theme Park ticket packages with your DreamMore Resort room for a really great bundled price.

In addition to the Dollywood ticket packages, DreamMore Resort often features seasonal sales on room rates. Plus, if you are a Super Pass Season Ticket holder, you can score even greater discounts on a room at DreamMore. Guests may even find that they can save quite a bit of money by purchasing this Super Pass.

If you are planning to visit the hotel often throughout the year or for several nights at a time, you may want to consider purchasing the Super Pass for at least one member of your family. Visitors booking last minute stays at the resort can also find deals at times. Both of these sleeping areas provide televisions, and they have a door to close for privacy between the rooms. These divided bedroom spaces work great for families with toddlers or teenagers who need separate spaces.

The dining options at Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort really reminded me of those at a deluxe resort hotel at Disney World. Some of the restaurants you’ll find at the Dollywood hotel include the following:

DM Pantry

Right next to the lobby, the DreamMore hotel offers a quick service cafe called DM Pantry. This dining option is great for those looking for a quick bite or fast-food options. DreamMore Pantry sells grab and go items like salads, sandwiches, and wraps. You will also find yogurts, fresh fruit cups, and vegetable cups.

In addition to the grab and go section, DM Pantry offers menu items like made-to-order sandwiches and Starbucks coffee. We frequented this quick service restaurant during our trip because it was so fast and easy. There are a few tall tables inside the cafe and a cozy sitting area right outside the cafe’s doors. This sitting area is right by the DreamMore fireplace and is a great spot to enjoy a glass of wine after a long day in the park.

Song and Hearth

In addition to DM Pantry, DreamMore Resort features a full-service restaurant and southern eatery called Song & Hearth that serves breakfast and dinner. You will find many food and beverage options at the Song and Hearth breakfast buffet, including:

• biscuits and gravy
• made to order omelettes
• scrambled eggs
• fried potatoes
• pancakes (chocolate chip and sprinkles)
• bacon and sausage
• cereal
• fresh fruit

We were given a recreation schedule at check-in, which showed the days and times for some of the resort’s special events and activities for the week. These entertainment options included things like storytelling, S’mores by the fire, and crafts. In addition to the activities listed in the recreation schedule, the DreamMore Resort provides the following fun things to do with kids:

Outdoor Pool Area

Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort offers many great amenities for kids. The outdoor play area is home to a spacious pool complete with a splash pad that is perfect for toddlers.

The outdoor pool provides a small lazy river and plenty of lounge chairs and tables. You can order food and beverages from the attendants when the pool is open as well.

Pool towels are available at the towel stands throughout the pool area. You will also find life jackets free to use while you swim.

Indoor Pool

In addition to the outdoor pool, DreamMore Resort features an indoor pool that is open year-round. This pool is located on the ground floor near the arcade.

Playground

The DreamMore playground sits outside near the outdoor pool.

It offers slides and climbing features with benches for adults to supervise.

Family Game Room

The Dollywood DreamMore resort arcade is full of fun video games that really come in handy during rainy, cold weather.

If you visit DreamMore Resort during the warm summer months, you can usually find the arcade quite empty as most of the kids are outside at the pool.

Bedtime Stories

Each evening at DreamMore, hotel guests can sit around the outdoor fire pit to listen to a bedtime story. This is a great activity for the whole family to enjoy.

Camp DW

In addition to the activities mentioned above, DreamMore Resort features Camp DW for parents and kids to enjoy. Families can take part in all sorts of entertainment options through Camp DW, including board games, crafts, live music, movies, and more.

Dollywood Theme Park Perks

Dollywood Shuttles

One of the biggest advantages to staying at DreamMore is that you are able to use the Dollywood shuttle bus for FREE! This is a huge bonus for families visiting the hotel and theme park, especially those who are traveling with small kids. If you choose to take the Dollywood shuttle, you can easily board the bus just outside the DreamMore Resort’s lobby.

This saves you from paying to park at the theme park AND from having to fiddle with car seats. During the five-to-ten-minute drive to the park, the friendly bus drivers share information with you. You will also find televisions on the shuttle that show videos of Dollywood and all the exciting things it has to offer.

Special Entrance

If you take the Dollywood shuttle from the resort, the bus will drop you off at a special side entrance to the theme park. This means you get to bypass any lines that have formed at the main gates and walk right into Dollywood’s VIP entrance.

Free TimeSaver Passes

When you stay at Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort, you also receive TimeSaver passes for free! On my most recent visit, each member of my family was given a pass that allowed us to use the TimeSaver lines at the park up to ten times. At check in, we even received lanyards to easily hold the timesaver passes around our necks. These passes come in really handy once the theme park gets busy!
