The Sandestin Town Center is located in a super popular section of the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort.

This resort area includes golf courses, beautiful beaches, and lots of entertainment options.

The Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort even offers a FREE shuttle bus to transport visitors from one area to another.

You can take this free tram to another family friendly area of the resort- The Village of Baytowne Wharf.

Like Grand Boulevard at Sandestin Town Center, Baytowne Wharf offers multiple dining and entertainment options for families.

My family and I find the Sandestin Town Center to be a little more low key than Baytowne Wharf. Although, it’s still a ton of fun!

Events at Sandestin Town Center

Family friendly events often take place throughout the year at Grand Boulevard Town Center.

During our most recent trip to Sandestin, Grand Boulevard hosted a really fun Cinco de Mayo celebration.

The weather was a bit rainy during our time at this event, but we all still had the best time! The Sandestin Town Center offers a large lawn area where several vendors had set up stands with a Cinco de Mayo theme.

These stands offered drinks, snacks, crafts, and merchandise. My older daughter loved the arts and crafts tables set up throughout the lawn.

There were photo booths with props to take silly pictures, booths with face painting, and tables to create sombreros out of clay. All of these activities were free, but we did leave a little tip at each activity booth.

The vendors also offered free giveaways for the kids to take home. The Town Center featured bubbles and hula hoops of various colors for the kids to choose as souvenirs.

In addition to the themed crafts for kids, a stage with live entertainment was set up on the lawn. You can see the stage below that was set up for the live musical act.

They had to stop playing for a short time due to lightning in the area, but they were really entertaining once they were able to perform again.

Although the lawn at Grand Boulevard is not a huge area, there were plenty of spots to sit or stand to enjoy all of the festivities.

If you are in the area, I also recommend checking out the events in Seaside, which is located on the Emerald Coast in Florida like Sandestin.

Sandestin Town Center Restaurants

Grand Boulevard features a variety of restaurants that range from casual cuisine to elegant atmospheres.

We decided to stick with the Cinco de Mayo theme on our trip, and we ate at the Mexican restaurant next to the event. I’m so glad we decided to try Cantina Laredo since the food was delicious!

Our party of six all enjoyed our entrees at dinner, and we thought the service there was exceptional! It was nice to sit on the covered patio at Cantina Laredo that looked out over the event space.

The fountains at Grand Boulevard were also really close to the outdoor patio. My older daughter wanted to run through them once she finished eating, but it was a bit too cool outside due to the storm.
